The Complex Emotional Journey of a Born Nephilim Vampire: My Story as Terra Henig

Being a born nephilim vampire is no ordinary existence. My father, an angel involved in the original vampirism, and my mother, an Amazonian turned into a vampire while pregnant with me, made sure of that. This extraordinary blend of supernatural elements has left me with a myriad of complex emotions.

One might think that immortality and supernatural powers come with a sense of belonging, but my case is quite the opposite. I was born into this world, unlike the majority of vampires I encounter who were sired. The time difference of thousands of years only adds to the complexity. You see, my mother time-traveled to this age, where all the vampires I know have already been sired.

This unique background has led to a perpetual feeling of isolation. I often question my origins, my purpose, and the choices my parents made. It's a journey that's laden with identity confusion, as I grapple with hiding the fact that I was born rather than sired.

Interacting with other supernatural beings is a delicate balance. I'm always cautious not to reveal the truth about my birth, as it could lead to unwanted attention or even danger. At times, I can't help but feel a sense of curiosity and empathy toward other vampires, even though our experiences and timelines are worlds apart.

My story is one of secrecy, self-discovery, and navigating the complexities of a world where I must hide my true nature from those who might not understand. It's a journey that I'm still uncovering, and I look forward to sharing more of my experiences on this blog.

Unveiling the Shadows: The First Recorded Vampire in History

Hey fellow nocturnals, Terra Henig here, and today, I'm delving deep into the enigmatic origins of the vampire legend. Vampires, those creatures of the night that have captivated our imaginations for centuries, had a humble beginning in the annals of history. The first recorded vampire in history hails from ancient Mesopotamia, dating back over 4,000 years. In the city of Ur, one of the world's earliest civilizations, there were tales of a malevolent being known as the "Ekimmu." These ancient vampires were believed to be the spirits of the deceased who returned to the realm of the living, not to suck blood, but to haunt and torment the living. The Ekimmu had traits that would later be associated with vampires in folklore: they could not rest peacefully in the afterlife, and they sought retribution against the living. These eerie apparitions were said to feed on the life force of the living, causing sickness and suffering in their wake. The concept of the v...
